Ginger Costa-Jackson makes her Royal Opera House debut this season as Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro. The mezzo then continues with her spectacular portrayal of Bizet’s Carmen for the Hamburg State Opera, Shenzhen Opera in China, and Florida Grand Opera.
Following her acclaimed performance in the title role of Norma at the Ravenna Festival with Maestro Riccardo Muti last season Monica Conesa made her US debut as Nedda in I Pagliacci for Seattle Opera. This season he sings the Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro for Shanghai Opera, and Torino, followed by her role debut of Puccini’s Tosca for Hannover.
Soprano Marina Costa Jackson’s season is filled with debuts starting with the title role in Carmen for Nashville Opera, Giuletta in Les contes d’Hoffmann for the Royal Opera House, and the title role of Tosca for Bari’s Teatro Petruzelli.
Following acclaimed performances last season with the Metropolitan Opera Chamber Players in concert at Carnegie Hall and leading the MET production of Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, Maestro Jackson returns to the MET this season to lead performances of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.
