American baritone Benjamin Dickerson’s upcoming engagements include multiple productions at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in the 2025–26 season, where he will appear in La bohème, Parsifal, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Gianni Schicchi, and Der Schatzgräber. He is also scheduled to perform the role of Raimbaud in Le Comte Ory with the Merola Opera Program in 2025.
He has performed a wide range of major roles including Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Tarquinius (The Rape of Lucretia), Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni), Germont (La traviata), Marcello and Schaunard (La bohème), Onegin (Eugene Onegin), Albert (Werther), Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), the First Soldier (Salome), Mr. Kahlo/J.D.R (Frida), and Man (The Extinctionist).
His training includes the Academy of Vocal Arts, Florida Grand Opera Young Artist Program, and the Manhattan School of Music. He has been recognized with numerous awards, including First Place in both the George and Nora London Foundation Competition and the Joan Taub Ades Vocal Competition, Second Place in the Giargiari Bel Canto Competition, Fourth Place in the Loren L. Zachary National Vocal Competition, and First Place in the Marilyn Horne Song Competition. He was also a finalist in the Jensen Foundation Vocal Competition.
