Alla Yarosh
Mezzo Soprano

A graduate of the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, Ukrainian-Australian mezzo-soprano Alla Yarosh joins the Studio of Florida Grand Opera for the 2026–27 season, where her engagements include Alisa in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, covering Rosina in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siv-iglia, and the Sorceress in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.

Yarosh is the winner of the Giargiari Bel Canto Competition, where she also received the. Audience Choice Prize. Her additional honors include the Mario Lanza Institute Scholarship, the Judges Prize at the Partners for the Arts Competition, and Second Place in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Round of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. She was also a semifinalist in the Houston Grand Opera Eleanor McCollum Competition.

Recent operatic appearances include Romeo in Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi and Clairon in Strauss’s Capriccio at the Academy of Vocal Arts. Prior to that she was Beppe in Mascagni’s L’amico Fritz, Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Siebel in Gounod’s Faust, Lucretia in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, and Smeton in Donizetti’s Anna Bolena.

An equally passionate concert artist, Yarosh has appeared as alto soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with Symphony in C under Maestro Noam Aviel and with the Ocean City Pops. She has also performed as alto soloist in Handel’s Messiah under the baton of Peter Slowik. Yarosh earned her Bachelor of Music in Operatic Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, and completed her advanced studies at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia.
