“If Floresta do Amazonas’ more programmatic qualities are heard in its instrumental sections, the most evocative moments occur in the floating vocalist passages of ‘Pássaro da florestra’, the gently swaying counters of ‘Veleiros’ or the seductive sultriness of ‘Canção do amor’, rendered here with taste and impeccable musical judgment by soprano Camila Provenzale.” – Gramophone
